One way our local schools try to get parents involved in PTA is at the end of each meeting they have a grade level perform a music program. Tuesday night was the 1st graders' turn. Each class sang a song related mostly to February. Abigail's class theme was Martin Luther King and they were to dress up in a 'Patriotic' outfit. She did quite well. Other class topics included George Washington, the Heart, Groundhog, Love, Teeth (guess February is teeth month??), etc.
Below is the entire first grade class... now you can understand why lunch can be a bit chaotic.

Wow, that is a lot of 1st graders.
Isn't that funny how they try to suck you into the PTA meetings by having the performances after the meeting. Of course, you have to get there for the meeting to get a seat for the performance. Very sneaky. :)
