Lady Flyers Win Final Game Of Season 22-15 Against Team Sparks

The Flyers had an overall great game in route to beating Team Sparks 22-15 Saturday, Feb. 11 at Heritage Elementary. Once again, Samantha had the most points at 14, Avery M. had 4, Avery W. and Emma S. each had 2 points, and Dyanna had 1. Samantha also led the way in rebounds at 10, Avery M was close behind at 7, and Dyanna and Emma S. each had 4. Samantha had 2 assist and Emma B had 1. She [Emma] also had 1 rebound.

The Flyers led practically the whole game. They did look a little asleep in the 1st quarter at times (especially Emma) but eventually woke up. Emma got to guard her good friend, Lauren, in the first quarter, and they seemed to have a few conversations.

This season, the Lady Flyers really proved they could "Fly," only losing one game. They are definitely worthy of first place, or maybe second. As I've been watching this season, they have learned more then the fundamentals. They have learned to have fun with the game, and really proved that in their final game.

Close, Losing Weekend For Butler Family and Pro Sports

This weekend was close for who the Butler family was rooting for and playing for, but all ended uo losing. For example, the Super Bowl. We were cheering for the Patriots, and they allmost had it, but failed on the final play. The Mavericks lost to the Caveliers when a last second shot didn't fall in to force overtime. In Emma's game, she lost when Samantha's shot didn't count to have a tie [they don't do overtime in her leauge]. In my game, we were tied in the final minute, but we lost by 3.

Bulldogs Barely Pass Lady Flyers 19-17

   When a last second shot didn't count to have a tied game, the Bulldogs got past the Flyers 19-17. The Flyers had a 4th quarter comeback led by Samantha, who had all of her 7 points in the 4th quarter and had it tied at many points in the game. But, the refs didn't count the last second shot by Samantha.


   Samantha led the way with 7 points, Avery W had 4, and Emma S., Kayle, and Avery M each had 2. Dyana led the way with 5 rebounds, Kayle, Sofie, and Avery W. each had 3, Samantha, Zoe, and Avery M each had 2, and Emma S and Lacey each had 1. Emma B. had no points or rebounds. Coach John (talking to the girls) said "You girls know...that other teams have scored only 4 points against them, and I'm proud of you for keeping up with them."


   Even though they lost, the Flyers definitely played their hearts out on that comeback.
